2009 Fourth of July & Artomatic
7/6/2009

vintage Red Thunderbird

Who knew Culpeper had such a good car show? I counted at least 8 blocks of vintage Americana in the form of chrome, glass, and shiny paint jobs.

The Fourth of July was an entirely American experience with the aforementioned car show in a quaint small town followed by a bar-b-Que. and fireworks at my mom's farm. Again, the absence of my dad was really palpable, but the distraction provided by my brothers little kids somewhat compensated.

ArtOMatic

Coming back early I hit ArtoMatic on Sunday. My band had played there twice but I'd never had the time to look around. I think my favorite exhibit was a woman who'd taken photos with her iPhone and then sold them in little iPhone-shaped frames she constructed. Very nice.
