Rough Week

It's been a rough week. I'm glad we got out to Steve and Troy's camping weekend to balance out some of the harsh spots.
On Thursday parents' prize wining Andalusian stallion, who'd swept some of the most prestigious awards in the world, died suddenly of an intestinal blockage. His immense financial value aside, my parents were extremely proud of him and I think this really upset them.
Adding injury to insult, a storm hit their farm the next day and knocked down two very large trees, crushed a fence, and damaged one of the few remaining buildings on the property from the 1800s.
Our woes were relatively meager in comparison to my parents'. Wednesday's storm left us without power for 36 hours and Will had to rush home for the funeral.
When it rains it does indeed pour.
