Valentines Day 2008
2/15/2008
I wish I could've mustered something romantic to say yesterday but my thoughts are pretty tied up in my employment options. Besides, our god-awful ISP, Earthlink STILL hasn't fixed our DFL service after 11 days, so I couldn't have posted it anyway.
So Valentines for us consisted of irritating protracted calls to Earthlink's customer (un)support and then a nice relaxing dinner out at an italian restaurant. Nothing earth-shaking but nice. Oh, and I gave him a card with lyrics to a new song I've been working on. It seemed appropriate since it's all about him really.
WORLD WEARY
words and music by Fitz
World weary in ways
No man should ever be
Come close and hold me
My anchor in this sea
Of crashing black waves
And worn out dreary dreams
So weary
Without you
World weary my love
A boxer on the ropes
Bruised up and bleary
But still with hopes
That you will hang around
This worn out shabby town
So weary
Without you
One day you and me
Will sail far to a sea
So easy and blue
One day you and I
Will drift off in a tide
Counting the stars in the sky
1st verse: repeat
