Xmas 2007 in Four Acts
12/30/2007

Part 1: Solstice Celebration

Will and I had Scott and Mike over Saturday night to celebrate the holidays and having spent 5 years with them as our best friends. Except for Scott's cold and my sinus infection it was a pretty perfect evening. Dinner at Obelisk and gifts and wine at our place afterwards. Coincidentally it was also the Winter Solstice.

Part 2: Christmas With the Folks

The night before I trekked up to my parents farm Mars was burning angrily in the sky just below the moon. Quite a site actually. Xmas itself was a mellow event with just the folks and me gathered around the fireplace and enjoying some steaks. Their farmhouse looks well suited for holiday decorations.

Part 3: St. Stephen's Party

The day after xmas is apparently called St. Stephen's day to Christians and Jay and Lea chose it to hold their first ever holiday party. It was a big success with the house looking great (new flat panel TV and burning glass fireplace), the food being quite tasty, and the guest very enjoyable. I particularly liked seeing Brian and Phil who I hadn't had a chance to hang out with in well over a year. The tree we got Jay and Lea as a gift also went over well.

Part 4: Christmas With the Folks, Again

The last lap of the holiday was a trek up to my parents farm again to finish off the gift giving with my folks and my brother's family. Will tagged along and it was a more festive air with my brother's two little girls giving it that x-mas morning feel.
