Random Thoughts On a Rainy Monday Morning...

I'm off to database school this morning. I have about as much enthusiasm for learning how to program databases as I do for a root canal but work is work and I need the hours. I'm very thankful my job has decided to foot the bill for these classes AND pay me for the time I'm taking them. I like the place I work. Good people.
This last weekend saw us at Mike and Scott's for their annual bonfire party. It's been so dry in the area that they couldn't actually burn anything but it was still a nice get together. Good to see a bunch of friends I rarely get to hang out with.
From here on our it's going to be holiday after party after get-together. Tis the season for distraction. That sounds so cynical. I guess I'm just annoyed that so many things are going to intrude on getting this new round of songs written. I really want to finish the 8 songs I'm cueing up for the Mesmers next record and then whip out a few more for my solo effort. Oh, and I also need to brush up my live chops so I can start playing out solo by the end of the month. I guess it's back down to 4-5 hours of sleep a night for a while...
