Creepy Closet Cases
8/29/2007

I have to admit that hearing both the news of anti-gay Idaho Republican Senator Larry Craig's homosexual bathroom antics and the sexual abuse of boys by scoutmasters in the Boy Scouts of America on the same day kinda creeps me out.

There just has to be something about being a closet-case that breeds an unsavory (if not downright dangerous and predatory) pathology. Keep it all out in the open I say, and you'll lessen this sort of misbehavior.

The officer said Craig tapped his right foot, "a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct. ... [Craig] moved his right foot so that it touched the side of my left foot which was within my stall area."
- Excerpt from report of Craig's arrest
"I am not gay. I never have been gay,"
- Senator Craig's most recent public denial

Right Larry... All men play footsie with each other in bathroom stalls... (yuck!)

"Before 1991, a Scout leader was being tossed out for child molestation at the rate of one every three days... Post-1991, the rate was one every two days."
- Tim Kosnoff, Lawyer for victims of Scouting abuse

Hmm... I can see that gay ban they put into effect is working real well for them.
