Skydiving Offer

Friends have offered to take me skydiving for my 40th birthday next month. I'm not really sure I'm interested in skydiving and to do it on my 40th smacks of a "mid-life crisis compensation stunt", but I think they put a lot of time and thought into it (and purchased non-refundable tickets) so I'll probably go.
And, as Scott pointed out, it's better than "getting a bunch of stupid black balloons and unfunny 'death of your youth' cards." How true.
