2007 Capitol Gay Pride Show
6/11/2007

Playing Pride this years was an entirely different beast that last year. Last year things went smoothly but I was very stressed and tense. This year was one disaster after another (see the band's site for details) but I felt very at ease in the chaos and think we had a good time and sounded good. A lot of friends showed up to see us and it was fun looking out into the crowd and recognizing so many faces.
After we got off stage Will had a funny story for me. He was taking pictures of us performing when and old friend he hadn't seen in years came up and said hello. The friend then asked Will: "Were's Fitz? I don't see him around" Will grinned, pointed to the stage: "Up there". Will claims the look of surprise on the guy's face was priceless. :)
All in all it was a good time. My only real regret is forgetting to bring the CDs in all the chaos. Fellow musician Tom Goss, who also played Pride, claimed he sold a bunch of his at the booth after his performance.
Thanks to Rob for sending me the above pic!
