The 2006 Burning Man

The festival's namesake and focal point from the first time I saw him to the last time anyone ever would. Here's some pics of the man and our group at the burn event.

Art Installations

Burning Man offers art at every turn. Large, small, somber and profane - they came in all shapes and sizes. I particularly enjoyed those placed in the "deep playa" where the isolation from the sounds and crowds lent them a mythic and surreal quality. There's something magical about traveling across an empty expanse of desert and discovering an odd art installation just sitting there.
