Of Apes and Men

I've been reading a lot of Frans de Waal so these day's I'm seeing all politics thru a primetologist's eyes. It's surprising what clarity the habits of apes bring to the antics of men. Power, sex, deception, and empathy -- it's all there.
I strongly agree with former US former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich that Frans' books should be required reading for anyone interested in politics.
