Again, Pretty Girls and Robots

Took a break from another weekend filled with work to trek with John and Lea into the District to see Chris Bishop's exhibition. Talked with Chris for a bit, admired my latest acquisition, lamented that the Happy City Destroyer (below) was already sold, and also ran into Joel Traylor who's work Will and I have been eyeing for some time.
Chris' art looked great. It's been getting more sophisticated without losing its quirky playfulness. It's almost like oversized comic book art with a single panel being textured and enlarged. His prices are still unbelievably cheap and I can't see how sells them for what he does. I'm telling you all, a great investment for the future...
I would have bought this in a heartbeat...
