10/24/2005 - Pumpkin Party 2005
Ah, the pumpkin party. Our one big event of the year, now existing only in memory and photographs. This one started out quite rainy and we thought it might end up an indoor event, but the skies cleared and soon most everyone was in the back yard drinking, carving pumpkins, and talking around the fireplace. It was a smaller party than the last few years, and with a large number of new faces. I wish we'd had more time to spend with everyone but Will and I were kept pretty busy being hosts.
Set up was much easier this year as we owned most of the gear and decorations. It's not quite "party-in-a-box", but it's getting pretty close. The only signifgant new purchase this year was the very popular 7-foot gigantic bat.
A big thanks to all that came and shared their time with us and for those who couldn't make it, there's always next year...
