6/30/2005 - The Band's First Earnings
I wish my eyes weren't quite so bleary this morning, and my thoughts weren't quite so fuzzy. I'd hoped to get up and pen a profound and well-written analysis of last nights show, but I'm just plain tired.
So, instead I'm staring at the $28 sitting on the table next to my computer. It's a small sum, barely enough to buy the band pizza at the next rehearsal, but it's our first earnings. The amount of time, effort, and sheer love that went into that $28 makes we want to laugh at myself.
Later, when I'm feeling more alive, I'll go out and get a small frame for our first dollar -- a crisp little guy he is. Then I'll start planning for the next show...
