Yesterday, on the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court's Brown v. Board of Education decision, the first State-sanction gay marriages took place in Massachusetts. Pretty amazing to see such a huge societal shift within my lifetime. It wasn't too long ago when the words "gay" or "homosexual" were taboo, even on the nightly news.
Its been a crazy week. I don't know if its the super long days we're having or effects of the allergy medicines I'm taking, but I've been wired. Getting up at five and going, going, going till nine at night is no problem at all. The problem is getting to sleep. I lay in bed at night feeling like I've just drank an entire pot of coffee. My mind and body racing and unable to sleep. I doubt I've gotten over 4 uninterrupted hours of rest a night...
