Web Logs

Perhaps drawing inspiration from John Waters experiments with Odorama in the 1980's comes the Scent Dome. Detailed in this article the Scent Dome is a scheme to allow Websites to have their own odour which would be desiminated through special scent-browsers and smell-tags.
"The Scent Dome is about the size of a teapot and can generate up to 60 different smells by releasing particles from one or more of 20 liquid-filled odour capsules. Computers fitted with a Scent Dome unit use software to recognize smell identifying codes embedded in an email or web page."
The instant I read this I recoiled at the realization that I browse a large number of personal pages and mostly men's personal pages at that. If smell-tags were added... Dear god the mind reels.
What would Matt, or David, or Justin smell like? Would the Mighty Jimbo truly be more fragrant than the normal Jimbo? Could I get thru five minutes of browsing Bigmuscle without gaging on the lockeroom stench that every guy would put as his smell-tag to seem more butch?
And what the hell would I put as the smell-tag for this site? Zentropolis? The fragrance of one nostril inhaling? Maybe I'd have to consult a specialist in Web-Scent enabling. You know, an Odor-Coder.
