12/23/2003 - Holiday Celebrations, Band Notes

The Holidays

A mediums sized christmas tree with blue lights and lots of packages under it.
Our blue, blue Christmas tree.
Note the meat motif wrapping paper.

Its that time of the year again. Will's work party on Saturday. Scott and Mike over for a nice brunch Sunday morning, and a neighbor's get together on Sunday night. Add in your normal mix of chores, the gym, and music recording and I was pretty tired Monday morning. But it was a good tired, a satisfying exhaustion.

Note: No Will and I didn't get around to sending out Holiday cards this year (so don't worry, you ain't the only one not getting one). This was partly because of extra busy schedules and partly because we didn't have a picture nearly as good as last year's cards.

The New Band

The new band is going surprisingly well. We've already written an album's worth of material, begun recorded early versions of some, and started choosing some covers to play live. The holidays are always disruptive, but I'm still hopeful we can be playing out sometime in February.

A few tunes we've written:

  1. Dark Rooftop
  2. Under the Sea
  3. Sandy Strange
  4. Kiss and Say Goodbye
  5. What Do I Get But Nothing
  6. Still Got Your Picture
  7. Mobius Man
  8. One With the Sun
  9. Jerks Inherit the Earth
