I could clean up the neighborhood quick with this sucker...
Surpassing even the Magnetic Rock in the "cool but impractical" category comes the fine products from Brotron Labs. With the tag line "Need a Death Ray, Atomic Blaster, or New Combat Robot for your Space Age Lounge?" Artist Greg Brotherton fashions sculptures of exactly that. Fascinating retro-futuristic artifacts that often incorporate actual objects 'de art from the period (most notably from vacuum cleaners and autos). Its amazing work that I'd scarf right up if I had the funds and space to display them. Mmm.. robots!
Brotoron Labs Website is darn handsome as well even if it is a crude hack job of print-to-html translation. Make sure you check out the movie advertising his death ray in action. Its a geekalicious treat!
