7/27/2003 - Zombies, Mummies, and Friggin' Idiots
28 Days Later
I went to see the flick 28 Days Later with Jay and Laura last night, and it was every bit as good as I had hoped. An artsy zombie flick with lots to think about and genuinely frighting undead. A version of "The Omega Man", if you will, for the new millennium.
Unfortunately, the audience for the film was a bunch of snickering, yakking idiots who's collective IQ wouldn't rival that of a zombie's (Oh look, a naked man! Tee he he! I see his wiener! Tee he he he he!). Sigh, just sad.
Bubba Ho-Tep
An infirm Elvis fighting the Mummy in the upcoming film Bubba Ho-Tep looks to be one of the funniest thing I can possibly imagine. Damn I want to see this film!
