6/3/2003 - Of Frank, Bob, and Low Frequencies
Getting back into the groove of things after doing so much travel. Allergies are still killing me, and Will and I are still busy as hell on our respective projects.. Still We found time to see a Frank Lloyd Wright Light Screens (stained glass windows) exhibit at the Smithsonian and for me meet up with Jimbo for BlowOff at the Velvet Lounge on Sunday night
Blowoff was a lot of fun. I met Bob Mould (Of Hüsker Dü fame) who was really nice and came across as a Mac-lovin', techno-geek. No complaints there! He spun some nice groves with his partner on stage and even thru in a funky bass solo. Did I mention I've taken up the bass? Well I have as of a week and a half ago. Watching Bob play the instrument was a bit demoralizing. He's good enough to make me realize just how much practicing I'll have to do...
Oh, and I actually updated the Graceland Trip with some pix and content.
