Sigur Ros and Loco Farmer

Went with Mike Madison to see Sigur Ros (warning: horrible Flash-only Website) at the 9:30 club in DC last night. Good show. Spacey and mellow. I'm surprised they sold out the place.
I have to chime in with Jimbo on this one. That the police have allowed one disgruntled farmer to shut down some streets in DC for days now is inexcusable. I heard on the radio some moronic DC official saying something like: "There has been no harm done. We're trying to resolve this peacefully." No harm done??? I'd be willing to bet there has been hundreds of thousand, if not millions, of dollars in harm done in lost wages and productivity! I'm sorry for the upset farmer, but the police should have taken him out of that pond a long time ago. And yes, even if it meant killing the poor guy.
