9/7/2002 - Spoken Notes
In truest geek fashion this entry is being written (mostly) using some new voice recognition software I just bought. iListen by MacSpeech. Its recognition is passable but not great. I understand that this will improve the more I use the software, but until then its a tad annoying to have my "complicated sentences" come out as "Com to get his senses". Maybe I should hunker down and write to a bunch of Beck lyrics.
A few notes on last week. Will bought himself a new house, and I started a new job. The house is an investment property. We seem to be acquiring a small number of those. My new job is more a lateral movement that than anything else. I'm going to work for a smaller company that is was spun off of the larger company I am quitting. I've ranted before about my dislike for larger corporate culture and that's really at the heart of this decision. I'm sick of "MUST do" emails and the host of other b.s. that come with being a Northrop-Grumman employee.
And lastly, sorry Jimbo, but we can't make the rugby game today. Will I have to go to the company picnic and uphold our part in society as the token gay couple. We seem to end up playing that role a lot these days.
