6/7/2002 - Under a Sheltering Sky
Slogging forward with the band and hoping our album doesn't end up featured on VinylCheese.com (Or maybe hoping it does...).
I finished reading "The Sheltering Sky" by Paul Bowles. An amazing book I heartily recommend. Interestingly, part of it served as a basis for the Police's song "Tea in the Sahara". There was also an attempt to make a movie from it, but I can't imagine it was any good. "The Sheltering Sky" is an introspective work who's real meaning lies somewhere in the periphery of its character's actions. Merely laying them all out on a movie screen would seem a blunt attempt to reach the book's core.
Okay, times a wastin'. There's much to do this day - starting with taking my allergy medicine. I having a really bad time with then damn pollen this year.
