4/18/2002 - Enter the Mighty Motif

76 keys of workstation wonder.
First off let me wish long time friend Patrick Burke a happy birthday. Have fun on your trip. We'll get together for dinner when you get back
The fates have been kind to me as of late. I walked into the local music store Wednesday to buy a cheap microphone and discovered a used floor model Motif 7 synthesizer for sale as a staggeringly low price. The unit is a tad beat up, but completely functional. I'm still somewhat ambivalent about whether I should have spent the money or not, but I do have 30 days to return the board if I don't like it, and at the price I got it for, I could sell it off on EBay and probably still come out even.
The arrival of the Motif in my basement reminds me that I will have to start selling off some of my other unused boards. I just have too many sitting about idle. My current cache of pricey noise makers is as follows:
- Kurzweil K-2000
- Yamaha AnX1
- Yamaha Motif
- Roland Juno 60
- Roland Jupiter 8
- Roland Super Jupiter
- Roland MKS-50
- Roland PMA 5
- Crumar Performer
- Crumar Orchestrator
- Korg Wavestation
- Novation BassStation
- Alesis Nanobass
- Casio AZ-1
