Went and saw Apple's new iMac at the local Apple store yesterday. Its futurist, chrome and has a dome for god sake! I should love it, but am a bit ambivalent about its looks. Functionally I think its brilliant and the price is actually quite good. $1800 looks pricey, but really not. A DVD burning Superdrive alone cost about $600 and a 15" flat panel another $800, so you're really only paying about $400 for the computer itself. And all in one tidy little package.
