5/3/2001 - Got My Black Belt
I was finally awarded my black belt this last Monday. Yes it took them long enough seeing as had the test way back then . But I did take a little time off and was in no real rush to get the piece of cloth itself. It feels good to have it, but like all goals, somehow anti-climatic You strive and strive to attain something and once you do it seems of so much less importance than when you began. You ponder it for a moment and then start gazing at the next peak.
There is this Brazilian Jujitsu class I've been anxious to start taking, but with music taking so much of my time, I just can't see taking up another hobby for a little while. Unless, of course, that hobby was gardening...
In miniature . Ebay is an evil wicked place. This 1970's terrarium I bid upon also arrived this week. I've wanted on for quite some time. I have no idea what I'm gonna plant in it. Probably Igor and some friends. I figure that's more Will's domain. For now, I just enjoy stuffing the cat in it and declaring he has a personal " forcefield ".
He seems less than impressed.
