7/27/2000 - Goodbye to My Apartment
The old apartment is almost empty, and the new one crammed and disorganized. I had intended to create a few VR panoramas before I left, but have not had the time. I'm glad I have this one I created last year. Didn't have a wide angle lens, but still, it gives a good idea of what my old place looked like. Requires Apple's QuickTime.

Other musings:
Napster is being shut down. Good riddance. A den of thieves gets no sympathy from me.
Stephen King has a brilliant online book selling scheme with The Plant. Even if you're not a King fan, visit his site and read his pitch. Trusting the public is a refreshing approach. I hope it works out for him. Hell I just might go buy the first two chapters myself to help his cause along.
It would be a great world where artists could peddle their works online, free of the corporate middleman, and comfortably assured of the consumer's honesty. (No, I don't think it will really happen, but hell its a nice THOUGHT, if nothing else.)
