In Search of the Simple

Quiet day at work here. In fact, I'm bored out of my mind. I should probably work on lyrics or the redesign of this site, but I'm just not in the mood. Instead I'm listening to old Beetles albums. They were so damn good, and is such a deceptive way. They understood simplicity and the power of just being themselves. Lessons most of us spend a lifetime chasing.
Simplicity. Everything in my life seems poised towards that adjective. I remember Jeff Goldblum's character in "The Fly" who wore the same suit everyday so he wouldn't have to think about clothing. That would be great. One set of clothes for all occasions. Like a comic book character.
I got the phone company to be my answering service today. That means I can throw out the answering machine and get my messages from anywhere. Another piece of junk in the apartment gone...
I'm bored. Productive and bored.
