6/6/2000 - Gay Pride?
A cool wet morning here in the District. Odd, but I hate the cold unless its snowing and I hate overcast days unless its pouring rain.
I'm looking forward to the upcoming X-Men movie. From what I've seen and read it actually looks like to be good. You can go to the official website to download the trailers, but don't go there for anything else. Its one of those awful Flash only sites. Lots of things whizzing and swooshing about the screen and not a shred of decent information. Its sad to think how much they paid for such a god-lousy site. Most corporations just don't get the Web at all. At least they seem to be learning how to make a superhero movie.
Gay Pride is coming up this weekend, but I really don't want to do much. I'd rather stay home and work on music and I'm sure Will is gonna want to work on his house. The whole gay pride notion has always escaped me. I just don't see how anyone can derive personal validation out of being a homosexual (or black, or Chinese, or having curly eyebrows for that matter). They should just call it the Gay Festival of Excessive Alcoholic Consumption and be done with it. Its a good excuse to party, but pride?
Later in the day.... Getting ready to head home now. I hope its still raining when I get there. Something very relaxing about rain and coffee at home after work.
