Page 1: The Start

Pennsic began with a languid 6-hour drive up to Pennsylvania. Beautiful weather, light traffic, and the tape deck alternating between my taste for electronica and Will's passion for the Mavericks. We arrived noon, set up, hauled the car back to the immense parking lot and got everything squared away at camp. Then just started to look around...

Will had never been to Pennsic (and its the first time I'd brought a date since 1987). I was worried he wouldn't like it and we'd both be miserable for the duration, but after the first hour of wandering in the merchant's area I could tell he was hooked. The arts and crafts, the festive nature, and the endless parade of shirtless men made him a believer. Here's a little of what we saw:
